Week of April 12-18 2004

This week on Cal SMV...

The Bottom Fairing: On Monday we executed another carbon/nomex layup on the bottom fairing, adding nomex around the sides and front of the car (including a French-Canadian guard).

The Top: We finished new female mold for the top on Thursday and popped it on Friday. While this one took a little longer than the other two, it did come out with a cool camo design.

The Engine: James acquired new toys for analyzing engine output and we got the dyno working.

Cal Day: We dispelled the belief that our car has solar panels integrated into the fairing or that is runs on vegetable oil. The engine also fell off of last year's car while Chris was driving it. Fun and sunburns were had by all.
