It was satisfying and exhilarating
to hear the engine run
We’ve finally managed to get Elsa’s heart beating with a fully functional Honda engine and Ecotrons electronic fuel injection system. Since Elsa does not use a fuel pump, we have a cylinder of pressurized air that intelligently pushes fuel into the system.
For the past month, we have been testing and debugging each individual component of the system. An error in the positioning system was holding us back from sparking the engine to life. After weeks of careful analysis and some rewiring, the engine roared to life! It was satisfying and exhilarating to hear the engine run for the first time. Now, we continue onwards to the real challenge — competition!
